new layout

No comments:

If you didn't check out my new layout yet, here it is! I haven't made a banner in awhile and I haven't been doing much blog designing, so I thought this was appropriate and easy to handle. It's straight to the point and the colors are great. I'm really loving neon green.

design: bakery business card concept

3 comments:

theme: basic and simple, bakery or independent business
visual: matte print
created: 11.26.12

I guess this was more of a tribute to my friends and family who own an independent business or chiefs/cooks/bakers. I decided that I wasn't going to make this too fancy. I wanted to stick with simple but cute at the same time. This is only a draft concept, but I think it makes a good template to work with. The use of  little color and still some areas you can place whatever you like in it. I designed the "logo" or vector clip art using a couple of shapes and tools. I haven't designed logos in a while so this was a nice little experiment and trial. I think it turned out pretty cute with a little bit of a 'Whipped Cream' effect (Whatever, you like to call that. haha). I personally... love this one so far.

resume design

No comments:

I decided to show off my current resume design on here. I had the urge to be creative this time around. Hopefully find some way for someone to just look at my resume and say "Hey, ain't she creative?" A perfect opportunity for someone to read a little bit about myself and see if i'm hirable! I personally love this one. It's straight to the point, well written, and it has a nice sleek design.

I decided to not put an objective because I've read many places that a hiring manager doesn't want to know what you aim for, but what you can do for the company or business. So that exactly what I did, I started off with putting my work experience in the front with my info and all the other information on a second: education, skills, and reference.

design : throw back : business cards II

2 comments:

theme: retro feel, throwback, lines
visual: matte finish
fonts: arial (normal, italic) / OSTRICH SAN, (&rounded, BOLD)
created: 10.12.12

I felt like designing once again and created this one. I'm having fun doing these. My aim for this design was a small boutique or private museum, real estate even (maps in the back), private designer, etc. I love the fonts used in this one and the simple details like the geometric shapes, triangles and lines. I think it gives it a nice touch to graphs and lines. :)

theme: basic - sample 1 (grayscale)
visual: gloss/matte finish, raised words for logo or name of business
fonts: neou, helvetica

I felt inspired to design something yesterday night. For some reason this was a easy go at it. I like how I designed this one. In my opinion, it sleek and professional -- in my vision, the background would have a nice matte/gloss transition with the spikes. I can see an "independent business" (something modern or urban-like) can use this. I don't know - just and idea. I guess it's always subject to change -- But I guess this will do for now. I think this is how i'm going to display my designs or "concepts" and ideas. I'm trying to find a way where you are able to make a template for others to use as a free be but still be able to edit it to their specific liking. Hmm. Ideas...
